What is important for women in health insurance?
To provide Coverage for breast cancer (genes BRACA1 BRACA2) and preventive mastectomy plus breast reconstruction for aesthetic effect.
Two genes involved, BRACA1 and BRACA2, are responsible for about 80% of inherited breast cancers
To provide coverage for ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is a complication of pregnancy in which the embryo attaches outside the uterus. It occurs in 2% of cases and if this problem is not treated quickly, its consequences can be very serious.
